Tillandsia arhiza paraguay Air Plant Native to Paraguay, this striking air plant features long, thin silver leaves with a soft velvet texture. It produces tall flower spikes with vibrant purple blooms that beautifully contrast the silvery foliage and they're wonderfully fragrant.
Place near a bright window with good air circulation. Outdoors: Thrives in bright, indirect light under trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses. Needs excellent air flow to dry between waterings. Frost-tolerant but must be protected from frost. Mount or suspend on non-water-retaining surfaces like timber or cork bark using wire, fishing line, or adhesive.
Never cover the base with moss or substrate this causes rot.
Water every 2–3 days in hot locations, or once weekly in cool, humid spots. Mist or dunk the plant for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess water. Always allow the plant to dry completely between waterings, and never let water pool at the base.
