Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia 'Berry's Gem' is a striking hybrid with deep purple-grey foliage and arching pink-bracted flowers. Created by Queensland hybridist Barry Genn, this air plant combines the rigid structure of T. aeranthos with rich colouring. Light: Bright conditions intensify purple tones.
Thrives outdoors in dappled light under trees or on verandahs. Indoors, position near a bright window with good airflow. Position: Mount on cork bark, timber, or similar non-water-retaining substrate using wire, fishing line, or silicone. Tolerates cool temperatures but needs frost protection.
Never cover the base with moss. Watering: Mist or dunk for 10–20 minutes every 2–3 days in warm spots; weekly in cool, humid spaces. Always let dry completely between waterings. Never allow water to pool at the base.
