Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia espinosae hails from Peru and Ecuador, thriving as an epiphyte in mountain forests. This striking air plant features silvery, spiky leaves arranged in an open rosette that gradually forms impressive clumps via thick runners. Expect a stunning bright red flower spike with 4–8 purple tubular blooms.
Keep outdoors in bright, indirect light under trees, in shade houses, or on covered patios work best. Good air circulation is essential. Mount on cork bark or timber using wire, fishing line, or silicone adhesive. Avoid moss at the base to prevent rot. Protect from frost, though this species tolerates cool conditions.
In warm spots, water every 2–3 days. In cooler, humid areas, once weekly suffices. Mist or dunk for 10–20 minutes, then shake dry. Let the plant dry completely between waterings never leave water pooling at the base.
