Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia straminea 'Small Caulescent' is a spectacular air plant from Ecuador and Peru. Silver-coated, streamer-like leaves grow larger with each generation under bright light. Produces fragrant white flowers with purple-rimmed petals on lavender spikes—scent reminiscent of Cattleya orchids, flowering for weeks. Grow outdoors on trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses.
Mount on cork bark or timber using wire, fishing line, or silicone. Needs bright light and airflow; tolerates cold but protect from frost. Never use moss at the base. Water every 2–3 days in heat, weekly in cool humidity.
Mist or dunk 10–20 minutes, shake dry. Must dry completely between waterings—never let water pool at the base.
