Tillandsia disticha 'Major' ex. OM (Fragrant) Air Plant

Tillandsia disticha 'Major' is a fragrant air plant native to the cloud forests of Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. It features a distinctive bulbous base with wide, sheathed foliage that tapers gracefully, creating an elegant grassy silhouette in soft grey-green tones.

In winter, delicate yellow flowers emerge on thin spikes, releasing a sweet, subtle fragrance. Bright, indirect light keeps this plant thriving an east or west-facing window indoors works perfectly, or dappled outdoor shade in warmer climates. In cooler regions, provide frost protection. 

Water every 2–3 days in warm spots, or weekly in cooler, humid areas. Mist or dunk for 10–20 minutes, then shake dry. These air plants need to dry completely between waterings—never let water pool at the base, as this causes rot.
