Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
A stunning air plant native to South America, featuring soft green leaves and gorgeous pink flowers with violet blooms that emerge in winter. Tillandsia stricta grows naturally across Venezuela, Trinidad, Suriname, Guyana, Brazil, and Argentina. The 'Nivea' cultivar is prized for its silver appearance and reliable flowering.
Light & Position Indoors: Place near a bright window with good air flow.
Outdoors: Thrives in bright, indirect light under trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses. Excellent air circulation helps the plant dry between waterings. Frost-tender — protect in cold climates. Mount or suspend on non-water-retaining surfaces like timber or cork bark using wire, fishing line, or silicone adhesive. Never cover the base with moss or substrate.
Watering Water every 2–3 days in hot positions, or once weekly in cool, humid spots. Mist or dunk the plant in water for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. Air plants must dry completely between waterings — never allow water to sit at the base, as this causes rot.
