Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia aeranthos var. Aemula is a larger air plant with a distinctive stem-like growth. Its dark green leaves develop purple tones in bright light. Native to Southern Brazil, it produces striking rose-coloured bracts and deep purple flowers in July.
Can be placed near a bright window with good air flow. Outdoors: thrives in bright, indirect light under trees, verandahs, or shadehouses. Needs airflow to dry between waterings. Tolerates cool temperatures but protect from frost. Mount on non-water-retaining surfaces like timber or cork bark using wire, fishing line, or silicone adhesive. Never cover the base with moss.
Water every 2–3 days in hot spots; once weekly in cool, humid areas. Mist or dunk for 10–20 minutes, then shake dry. Let the plant dry completely between waterings. Never allow water to pool at the base.
