Tillandsia ionantha 'Large Form' Air Plant A larger cultivar of the popular ionantha species. This attractive air plant is easy to care for and rewards you with stunning colour changes, turning bright pink or red when it blooms, with deep purple tubular flowers that rise from the foliage. After flowering, it produces multiple offsets to form a beautiful cluster.
Bright, indirect sunlight works best. Indoors, position near an east or west-facing window. Outdoors, partial shade is fine, though frost protection is needed in cooler Australian states.
Water when the top feels dry,typically every 2–3 days in warm conditions, or once weekly in cool, humid spots. Mist or soak for 10–20 minutes, then drain thoroughly. Always let the plant dry completely between waterings. Never allow water to collect at the base, as this leads to rot.
