Tillandsia remota (Fragrant) Ex. Collectors Corner Air Plant

Tillandsia remota is a graceful air plant native to Central America, prized for its delicate, hair-like foliage and sweetly scented white flowers. A vigorous grower that forms attractive clumps over time. Thrives outdoors in bright, airy spots—under trees, on verandahs, decks or in shadehouses. Mount securely on cork bark or timber with wire, fishing line or silicone adhesive.

Tolerates cool temperatures but needs frost protection. Keep the base completely dry; never use moss or soil. Water frequency depends on your climate: every 2–3 days in hot conditions, or weekly in humid areas.

Mist or fully submerge for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. Allow to dry completely between waterings—standing water causes rot.
