Tillandsia acostae thrives outdoors think under trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses where it gets bright light and plenty of air flow. This hardy air plant loves to dry out between waterings and hates sitting water, so good drainage is essential. Frost protection needed in cooler climates.
Mount or suspend it on cork bark, timber, or similar non-water-retaining surfaces using wire, fishing line, or adhesive. Skip the moss base it'll rot.
Water every 2–3 days in hot spots, or weekly in cooler, humid areas. Mist, dunk for 10–20 minutes, or use a hose outdoors.
The golden rule: let it dry completely between drinks, and never let water pool at the base.
