Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia ionantha 'Fuego Red' Air Plant A stunning air plant that transforms into vibrant fire-truck red when blooming. Deep purple tubular flowers rise above the foliage, and the plant naturally produces multiple offsets to form a beautiful cluster over time. Native to a small region on Guatemala's Pacific Coast, each plant varies slightly in character.
Place near a bright window with good air flow. Outdoors: Thrives in bright, indirect light under trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses. Can be suspended or mounted on cork bark or timber. Tolerates cool temperatures but needs frost protection.
Water every 2–3 days in hot spots; once weekly in cool, humid spaces. Mist or dunk for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. Let it dry completely between waterings never leave water pooling at the base, as this causes rot.
This cultivar can be sensitive to cold. Avoid covering the base with moss or substrate.
