Tillandsia ionantha ‘Ron’ (Asian Form)

Tillandsia ionantha 'Ron' (Asian Form) is a compact, chunky air plant that blushes bright pink when flowering. Originally imported as Ionantha 'Ron', this Asian variant stands apart from the original form.

Thrives outdoors in bright, indirect light—under trees, verandahs, or shadehouses. Indoors, place near a bright window with good airflow. Can be mounted or suspended on non-water-retaining surfaces like cork bark or timber using wire, fishing line, or silicone. Tolerates cool temperatures but needs frost protection. Never cover the base with moss.

Water every 2–3 days in warm locations; reduce to once weekly in cool, humid spots. Mist or fully submerge for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. Let the plant dry completely between waterings. Never allow water to collect at the base, as this causes rot.
