Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia 'Pink Patches' is a striking hybrid air plant bred by Queensland hybridist Neville Ryan. Its unique foliage and compact form make it a standout addition to any collection.
This plant thrives outdoors in bright, indirect light. Position it under a tree, in a shade-house, or on a covered deck or patio where air can flow freely. Good air circulation helps it dry between waterings. It tolerates cool temperatures but must be protected from frost. Mount or suspend it on cork bark, timber, or similar non-water-retaining surfaces using wire, fishing line, or silicone adhesive. Never cover the base with moss or substrate—this causes rot.
Water frequency depends on your location. In hot spots, water every 2–3 days. In cooler, humid areas, once weekly often works. Mist or dunk the plant in water for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. If outdoors, use a hose. Air plants must dry completely between waterings and should never sit in standing water at the base.
Not Recommended Indoors. This species performs best outdoors where it receives natural air movement and bright conditions.
