Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia 'Rosy Gem' is a striking hybrid created by Queensland hybridist Barry Genn. It features an open rosette of stiff, purple-grey leaves and produces bright pink flowers with purple tubes in spring.
Indoors: Place near a bright window with good air flow. Outdoors: Thrives in bright, indirect light under trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses. Needs good air circulation to dry between waterings. Tolerates cool temperatures but must be protected from frost.
Mount or suspend on cork bark, timber, or other non-water-retaining surfaces using coated wire, fishing line, or adhesive (silicone, hot glue, or no-more nails). Never cover the base with moss or substrate—this causes rot.
Water every 2–3 days in hot spots; once weekly in cool, humid areas. Mist or dunk for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. Let the plant dry completely between waterings. Never allow water to pool at the base.
