Tillandsia Salmon Queen is a hybrid created by Queensland hybridist Neville Ryan around 1998. It flowers in October (spring) and makes a striking addition to any collection.

Keep this plant outdoors in bright, indirect sunlight. Perfect spots include under a tree, in a shade-house, or on a covered deck or patio. Good air flow is essential to help the plant dry between waterings. It tolerates cool temperatures but must be protected from frost.

Mount or suspend your Tillandsia using coated wire, fishing line, or adhesive (silicone, hot glue, or no-more nails). Attach to timber, cork bark, or similar non-water-retaining surfaces. Never cover the base with moss or substrate—this causes rot.

In warm spots, water every 2–3 days. In cooler, humid areas, once weekly is usually enough. Mist, dunk for 10–20 minutes, or use a hose. Always let the plant dry completely between waterings. Never allow water to pool at the base.

Every Plant Tells a Story

Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
