Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Meet the showstopper of the Tillandsia world! This Mexican and Honduran native grows to an impressive 30–40cm tall, with a bulbous base that can reach 10cm across. Layered leaves spiral outward like a frosted onion, covered in silvery trichomes that catch the light beautifully. Come October, it rewards you with stunning branched blooms in soft pink and purple.
This is an outdoor plant through and through—think verandah, deck, or shadehouse where it gets bright light and plenty of air flow. Mount it on cork bark or timber (never moss), and let it dry completely between waterings.
In hot spots, mist or dunk every 2–3 days; cooler, humid spots need just weekly watering. Shake off excess water and never let moisture pool at the base. Frost-hardy but frost-sensitive, so protect it when temperatures drop.
