Every Plant Tells a Story
Nature does not create perfection, it creates character. We celebrate these natural details, because they make every plant beautifully one of a kind.
Tillandsia stricta Nivea is a rare caulescent air plant with stiff, frosty-white foliage and striking pink bracts that bloom into ice-blue or white flowers. This stunning South American native grows along an elongated stem, prized for its silvery appearance and reliable winter flowering.
Native to Venezuela, Trinidad, Suriname, Guyana, Brazil, and Argentina, the 'Nivea' cultivar delivers year-round visual interest with soft green leaves, gorgeous pink flowers, and violet blooms that emerge in cooler months.
Light & Position
Indoors: Place near a bright window with good air flow.
Outdoors: Thrives in bright, indirect light under trees, verandahs, decks, or shadehouses.
Excellent air circulation helps the plant dry between waterings. Frost-tender, protect in cold climates.
Watering & Care Water every 2–3 days in hot positions, or once weekly in cool, humid spots. Mist or submerge for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess. Air plants must dry completely between waterings, never allow water to sit at the base, as this causes rot.
Mounting Suspend on non-water-retaining surfaces like timber or cork bark using wire, fishing line, or silicone adhesive. Never cover the base with moss or substrate. A striking focal point for any bright, well-ventilated indoor or outdoor space.
